Eric DuPont is responsible for Guardian Life’s state government affairs in 20 states, including much of the Northeast, Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and Texas. Long active in guaranty association issues, he currently serves on the Boards of several state guaranty associations and also serves as Chair of the ACLI’s Receivership Committee.

Prior to joining Guardian in 2016, Mr. DuPont was a member of MetLife’s Government and Industry Relations Department (GAIRD) for nearly 15 years. Prior positions include Associate with LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae; Deputy Commissioner with the Massachusetts Division of Banks; Assistant General Counsel with the Massachusetts Division of Insurance; Director of the London office of the Massachusetts Port Authority; community bank Board member; and Adjunct Professor at Suffolk University.

Mr. DuPont holds an LLM in Tax from Boston University, a J.D. from Suffolk University, and B.A. from the University of Massachusetts.
